Reflexology for the Treatment of Pain
I have trained in ‘Reflexology for the Treatment of Pain’ (The Kruchik Method). These specialised techniques can help with a wide range of pain conditions such as:
- Migraine
- PMS
- Swelling and pain in joints (bursitis, tendinitis etc.)
- Sciatica
- Neck/back/hip/knee pain
- Frozen shoulder
- Plantar fasciitis
For treatment of some pain conditions and musculoskeletal problems, you may be asked to engage a part of the body while I work on the corresponding reflex in the feet. For example, where there is a restriction in shoulder movement, you may be asked to slowly raise the arm or to rotate the shoulder. To engage an arm or hand muscle you may be asked to lift a small weight or squeeze a ball.
One of the techniques that may occasionally be used to optimise results is the application of ice to specific reflexes on the feet.
The Kruchik Method also incorporates specific techniques for supporting clients with Fibromyalgia, Bell’s Palsy and the following auto-immune conditions:
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Crohn’s disease
- Ulcerative colitis
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Lupus
